The Hieroglyphics would be cool to play around with, coming up with different symbols to represent different themes we are studying about. It could possibly be used as an assessment for a unit, a switch up for some fun.
The bird outline I was thinking could be done for poetry. It you have an outline done in pencil and then write a poem in it to represent the poem. Then you could erase the outline and just have the words in the shape of a bird or whatever creative idea the student would use to represent his/her poem.
